Marc Jacobs announces the launch of a make up line, in collaboration with Sephora!
We can’t wait for the launch of his new perfume Dot, due in July and Mr Jacobs managed to surprise us once again, this time by announcing that he will launch his first make up line in collaboration with Sephora.
Mr Jacobs himself said about the new project: ”I see make-up, fragrance – everything, really – as an opportunity. The idea of choosing a color for your lip, or an eyeliner – it’s just such a delight. The ritual of waking up and making those choices is something people really enjoy.”
Until that happens take a look at his new perfume Dot that completes the trilogy which started with Daisy and continued with Lola.
In a somewhat surreal bottle, that looks like an enormous ladybug, surrounded by butterflies, the scent consists of notes such as red berries, honeysuckle, jasmine, coconut water, orange blossom, vanilla, driftwood, and musk.
I guess, we just have to wait and…smell

Seriously this is one of the ugliest bottles ever!!!! I was ready to dissmiss it upon sight but I am willing to sniff it as it was created by Annie Buzantian and Ann Gottlieb. Mrs Buzantian is responsible for Ralph’s pure turquise and Mrs Gottlieb for all the Impulse creations (remember the commercials on TV?) and the last years creations of Oscar de la Renta.
The make up line I am waiting for rather anxiously though as I think it will be really nice!!!!

Yes Julia, I love artistic approaches to the bottles but this has gone a bit too far!! Teenage mutant ninja Ladybug?!?!?!
… me too…. the bottle sucks! Even if I happen to like the perfume ( I hate Daisy…), I would never buy it! Sorry
